To secure a Tour or Trek reservation with Tunqui Expeditions, clients must make a non-refundable deposit. The deposit amount varies depending on the selected itinerary and can be paid via PayPal or credit/debit card.
⚠ Important: Clients will be responsible for a 5% transaction fee applicable to both payment methods.
Once the reservation process has begun, it is assumed that the client has read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Tunqui Expeditions.
A booking becomes confirmed and binding once Tunqui Expeditions acknowledges receipt of the client’s deposit. At this point, a contractual agreement is established between the client and Tunqui Expeditions.
Shared Responsibility: All individuals listed in the reservation are jointly responsible for the contract with Tunqui Expeditions. The person signing the contract represents all individuals listed in the booking, ensuring that all parties are aware of and agree to Tunqui Expeditions’ Terms and Conditions.

An additional penalty will apply.
⚠ Important: Machu Picchu tickets and other entrance tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel within:
✔ 6 weeks (42 days) before the tour start date: You must pay 60% of the total tour cost.
✔ 2 weeks (14 days) before the tour start date: You must pay 80% of the total tour cost.
✔ 7 days or less before the tour start date: You must pay 100% of the total tour cost (no refunds).
✔ If a client decides to leave the tour early, no refunds will be issued.
✔ Any extra expenses (food, accommodation, or transportation) will be the client’s responsibility. However, they may rejoin the group for the Machu Picchu visit on the last day (if applicable).
✔ If a client is unable to begin the trek due to health issues, no refunds will be provided.
✔ The client will be responsible for additional expenses such as food, accommodation, or transportation.
✔ The client may rejoin the group for the Machu Picchu tour on the last day (if applicable).
✔ In the event of natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances that prevent the service from being carried out, clients will receive a 50% refund (administrative fees apply).
✔ If global pandemics affect the service, no refunds will be issued.
✔ Instead, clients will receive an open voucher to reschedule their tour for a later date (subject to availability).
✔ Failure to attend briefing sessions will be considered a no-show.
✔ Failure to participate in a scheduled tour will also be considered a no-show.

✔ No refunds will be issued for unused services included in your trek.
✔ When you book an Inca Trail tour, your permit is issued exclusively under your name.
