Cusco to Pacchanta
We will head towards the beautiful community of Pacchanta, during a trip of approximately 3 hours, in which we will have the opportunity to appreciate the impressive flora and fauna of the high Andean landscapes.
Once in Pacchanta, we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast typical of the region. We will have a short break during which our guide will give us detailed information about the adventure that is about to begin.
Ausangate 7 Lakes Trek
After breakfast, we will continue with our walking tour of the 7 Ausangate Lagoons. The route covers approximately 7.5 km and will take us around five hours to explore. During this time, we will visit the Azulqocha, Orco Otorongo, China Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha and Patacocha lagoons, and we will marvel at the view of the majestic mountains such as Ausangate, Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol and Tinke. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to observe native birds, alpacas, llamas, vizcachas and, with a little luck, the majestic Andean condor.

Can I store my luggage at your office?

During the trip, your main luggage can be stored at our office (you can organize it with us on the briefing day or by email) or at your hotel, both free of charge.
Any equipment that you won’t need on the trek can be stored safely in your hotel. Nearly every hotel will provide this service. Don’t leave items of value with your bags; put them in the hotel safe and obtain an itemized receipt (in the unlikely case of theft, many insurance companies require that you have a copy of the receipt itemizing everything). It’s best to put items such as credit cards inside a sealed, signed envelope for extra peace of mind.
