If you still owe a balance, it must be paid at least 2 days before your Rainbow Mountain Trek. Otherwise, your reservation for the 3-day trek in Peru will not be confirmed.

Preferred method: Cash in USD or Peruvian soles at our Cusco office. Nearby ATMs on Avenida El Sol allow withdrawals in both currencies.

You may also pay via credit/debit card or PayPal, online or in person. Please note a 5% service fee applies via PayPal or Niubiz. We do not accept bank checks or traveler’s checks.

Duffel Bag and Luggage Storage

Yes! During your briefing, we’ll provide a duffel bag (60 x 24 x 22 cm / 23.6 x 9.45 x 8.66 in) for your Andes trek. Pack up to 7 kg (15.4 lb), including your sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothing, and personal items. Muleteers will carry this during your Ausangate Rainbow Mountain Adventure.

We also offer free luggage storage at our office during your trek. Most hotels also allow storage at no cost. Do not store valuables in your luggage; use hotel safes and request receipts for insurance purposes.

Group Trek Dynamics

Our small group Andes trek includes hikers of different fitness levels and ages. Each participant can hike at their own pace. Guides may adjust the Rainbow Mountain 3-day trek itinerary if the group requests changes, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all.

By joining, you accept that some may hike faster or slower than you. Your guide will make final decisions in consultation with everyone on your off-the-beaten-path trek.

Strikes and Protests in Peru

Strikes and protests can affect roads or railways, potentially disrupting your Peru trekking plans. We may adjust your 3-Day Ausangate Trek itinerary to keep your adventure on track, including early departures if required. Safety is our top priority, and all changes will be communicated by our operations team.

Please take care of your belongings during your Ausangate hiking tour and Ausangate Rainbow Mountain Adventure. Once you leave transport, campsites, or restaurants, you are responsible for your items. Double-check your space before departing.
