Trekking: A Journey Full of Unique Emotions and Unforgettable Adventures
Be among the fortunate to witness Salkantay, the second-largest and most sacred mountain, the Peruvian jungle, and the lost city of the Incas—Machu Picchu.
No matter how many days or which route you choose for the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, the beauty of its landscapes is unmatched. This spectacular route traverses lush jungles, towering mountains, and leads to the iconic turquoise lagoon.
At the heart of this trek lies the majestic Salkantay Mountain, standing at 6,264 m / 20,551 ft. It is the tallest peak in the Andes range and the second-highest in the Cusco region.
4-Day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu
Our 4-day trek to Machu Picchu passes through the fresh and pure air of this sacred mountain, offering some of the most breathtaking views in all of Peru. As one of the most challenging alternative routes to Machu Picchu, its high altitude presents an unforgettable adventure.
Unlike the classic Inca Trail, the Salkantay Trek attracts fewer tourists, allowing you to enjoy this natural paradise in peace. However, you may share the incredible landscapes with Andean condors and other native wildlife.
If you’re lucky enough to spot these majestic creatures, remember to start each morning with gratitude to Mother Nature and keep a positive mindset—these are her gifts to you.
