Starting in the traditional Andean town of Chinchero, this scenic adventure follows an ancient Inca trail through highland landscapes, agricultural terraces, and a beautiful valley before descending toward Urquillos.
Along the way, you’ll explore Inca archaeological remains, walk on sections of original Inca pathways, and experience the dramatic change in scenery from the high Andes to the warmer Sacred Valley below.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco in our comfortable, private van. Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive through the highlands, as we head to Chinchero, one of the most picturesque towns in the Cusco region.
Upon arrival in Chinchero (3,762 m / 12,343 ft), we’ll take time to explore this historically rich town:
We begin our scenic downhill hike along an original Inca trail, once used to connect highland communities to the Sacred Valley. The cobblestone path is surrounded by vibrant landscapes and ancient terraces.
As we descend:
Midway through our hike, we’ll take a short detour to the beautiful Poc Poc waterfall—a perfect spot to rest, enjoy a snack, and soak in the refreshing mountain air.
After about 4 hours of walking (8 km / 5 miles, entirely downhill), we arrive in the tranquil town of Urquillos in the heart of the Sacred Valley. This region is known for producing the largest corn in the world, thanks to its fertile soil and ancient irrigation systems.
Here, our private driver will be waiting to greet us.
Before returning to Cusco, we can stop in the town of Urubamba, where you’ll have the option to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included in the tour price).
After lunch, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon with your camera full of photos and your heart full of memories.
