This project was launched in 2024 with the support of dentists, as part of our commitment to improving children’s oral health.
Since 2017, the “Yuraq Quirucha” dental health promotion project has been in place. Its Quechua name means “White Teeth”, reflecting its goal of fostering dental health and hygiene among children in various communities across Cusco, while raising awareness of its importance.
The primary objective of this project is to:
✔ Promote dental health and hygiene among children in rural communities.
✔ Raise awareness about the importance of oral care.
✔ Educate children on proper brushing techniques and healthy eating habits.
✔ As part of this initiative, Tunqui Expeditions provides each child with a toothbrush and dental floss.
✔ Accompanying dentists dynamically demonstrate tooth structure, correct brushing techniques, and important nutritional habits.
✔ All activities are collaborative and interactive, with the support of company staff, including clowns who make the experience fun and educational for the children.
✔ We accept all cash donations and major credit/debit cards via our PayPal account.
Your support helps bring brighter smiles to children in need!
