Our goal is to collaborate with Andean communities to overcome economic and social challenges through a working partnership that directs resources toward sustainable projects. Special attention is given to supporting our children and their educational efforts.
Tunqui Expeditions is based in Cusco, Peru. The company was founded by Tunqui Expeditions, a former porter and tour guide for the Inca Trail, among other roles. He was born in one of the highland villages of the Andes, where he faced a difficult life growing up. After his studies, he created this company to give back to his community and other local villages. Since Tunqui Expeditions opened, we have carried out many social projects benefiting Andean communities, in addition to practicing sustainable tourism. Not only do we complete social projects, but we also take good care of the porters who work for our company. We pay them above-average wages, provide health and life insurance, and always respect state and national laws written for porters.
It would be difficult for us to contribute to the community without the help of our clients, who trust us to accompany them on their journeys. Not only do we provide excellent services, but we also allocate your money to support our social projects, benefiting the villages and their children. By choosing and traveling with Tunqui Expeditions, you choose to participate in the wonderful social projects our company is creating and supporting.
The Tunqui Foundation will execute and promote social projects serving the vulnerable population of the region, contributing to improving their quality of life.
The Tunqui Foundation aims to be a leader in the development of social projects in the southern region. It also seeks to achieve the active role of its stakeholders in the processes of change and transformation of lives.
During our time at Tunqui Expeditions, we will uphold values that truly enhance our identity. Values such as uniqueness, solidarity, and credibility are some of the aspects that set us apart from other companies.
